The contemporary art collective Turf Projects opened their first gallery last night in central Croydon. Converted from a shop unit in the Centrale Shopping Centre, the first show consists of a mixture of work from 7 artists.
Excellent exhibition of work by Eric Ravilious at the Dulwich Picture Gallery. He had a really unusual watercolour technique using cross hatching with dry brush. The pictures almost look like etchings or lithographs. Lots of the pieces were from the Second World War when he served as a war artist and sadly died on active service.
