Mayow
Park in Sydenham, London was taken over yesterday by a group of weird and
wonderful vehicles and their drivers as actors from ‘Spontaneous Productions’
put on a very entertaining show, ‘The Remarkable Race of 1913’ as part of this
year’s Sydenham Arts Festival. Billed as
‘an Edwardian Wacky Races’ it was real theatre in the round as the action took
place using the park as a race track, with the
audience very involved,
particularly the hordes of children chasing the creative contraptions.
Some of the hats and costumes in the park.
Trying to get a better view.
Perfect weather for ice creams!
Hi Lis,
ReplyDeleteyour picture of the library is really stunning. I am one of the volunteers there, and secretary of the Friends of Sydenham Community Library. We'd really like to be able to use your artwork on posters (and if the original is for sale please let me know)
